Success in Schools’ Bible Project Writing Competition

In  KS3 RE, pupils were invited to imagine themselves present at an event in the life of Jesus, and to write about it.  Their work was entered into a national writing competition called Schools’ Bible Project.

Lucy Poole, 9G was selected as one of the major prize winners.  She has won £100 for the school plus book prizes for herself.  She will be invited to go to the House of Lords’ in London and receive her prize from Baroness Cox later in the Autumn Term. Congratulations to Lucy and also to Mrs McCurdy, her RE teacher.

Leah Mallon 9E, Suzy Neill 10G, Kathryn McGrath 10F, Elliot Haw 10D, Bethany Nixon 10G and Harry Patterson 10G have also received runner up prizes, including copies of Luke’s Gospel and C.S. Lewis’ ‘Mere Christianity’.
