African Children's Choir Concert

An inspirational evening was had with The African Children's Choir and choir members from Ballydown and Edenderry Primary Schools, and of course, Banbridge Academy.  Music is transforming the lives of these young people from Uganda who come from situations of extreme poverty with little hope for the future.  The money raised at concerts such as these funds their education right to university level.  Thanks to all who bought tickets and gave so generously.  Over £1000 ...

Operation Christmas Child

The staff and pupils at Banbridge Academy have been busy buying gifts to fill shoeboxes in partnership with Operation Christmas Child. Altogether 125 beautiful shoeboxes have been collected and will soon be sent around the world to less fortunate children in time for Christmas.

Schools Cup and Gibson Cup

The 1st XI Girls played Dalriada to start their 2016 challenge in the Belfast Telegraph Schools Cup competition, beating them 6-0 .  The second round was played on Wednesday 24 th November at Kilkeel.

Cork Interpro Gold Medals

Our five Academy boys enjoyed more accolades involving gold medals at the weekend's Interprovincials in Cork. The Ulster 18s and Ulster 16s both defeated Munster and Leinster twice to secure the top spot in a four-game gruelling series. Pupils involved: Luke Marshall, Luke Roleston and Jake Rowe for the 18s and Mark Barlow and Scott Dale for the 16s.
