Banbridge Academy pupils attend the Action MS Awards Luncheon

On Wednesday 15 January, representatives from Banbridge Academy attended the annual Action Ms Awards Luncheon in Belfast. The school was delighted to win the coveted “Bronze Boot” as the top fundraising school in Northern Ireland in the Action MS walk. Receiving the award were Rory Moore, Moore McLoughlin, Hannah Kerr and Grace Moore, who each collected over £100. Banbridge Academy won the Bronze Boot for the first time in 1980, the first year of the walk, and it was particularly special to win it again this year on the 40th Anniversary of the Action MS Walk. The Academy is delighted to have won the boot nine times.

Other pupils, who each collected over £100 but were unable to attend the Awards were; Aimee Clarke, Belle Fitzsimmons, Kaitlyn Herron, Robert McCullough, Sam Martin, Orla Morris, Ellie Perkins and Jake Redmond. The final total raised by Banbridge Academy last year was an incredible £8,925. Well done to all the pupils who participated.
