Two Year 10 pupils from Banbridge Academy, Sophie Moore and Olivia Miskimmons entered a cookery competition with Mount Charles called the ‘Big School Cook Off Competition’. The pupils had to work as a pair to submit a 2-course recipe for a couple including costing and using local ingredients. They also had to submit a photograph of their final dish.

This competition was open to all Northern Ireland Schools and our pupils were successful in being shortlisted for the Regional Finals which are to be held in January in Assumption Grammar, Ballynahinch. Their dish will be cooked on the day and presented to an esteemed panel of judges. This is a wonderful achievement for the pupils to have made it to this stage of the competition and we wish them all the best for the next stage.
