European Day of Languages

Hola / Guten Tag / Bonjour!  Lots of fun was had in school by pupils and staff alike, as we celebrated the European Day of Languages – Friday 25th September 2015! There were many activities going on through the day. Some staff wore their finest ‘European’ dress, we had a Scavenger Hunt to find clues in various departments around school, over 150 Year 8 & 9 pupils took part in a quiz at lunchtime, croissants were available for pupils to buy in the Atrium at break time, the canteen put on a special ‘European’ menu, Cooks’ Club baked sponge cakes and used fruit to decorate the top with flags, the Atrium was decorated with the many posters from our poster competition, there were lots of new language books in the Library and some non- language teachers taught a part of their lesson in a foreign language!
