The Banbridge Academy Religious Studies Department is delighted to celebrate success in the 2026 Schools Bible Project, with Isaac B being awarded First Prize and Beth G receiving Third Prize in the prestigious national competition.

The Schools Bible Project invites pupils to study an event from the Gospels and write an account as though they had been present at the scene. The competition attracts entries from schools across Britain and encourages students to engage creatively and thoughtfully with Scripture.

In addition to Isaac and Beth’s outstanding achievements, several Banbridge Academy students were awarded runner-up book prizes, reflecting the high standard of entries submitted by pupils from across the school. The Academy had 5 runners up in Year 9: Arfa S, Pippa B, Isabella H, Casey H and Eliza M. A further 9 runners up prizes were awarded to Year 10 pupils: Klarna B, Joshua G, Callie W, Sophia S, Anna W, Bella D, Aaron W, Harry L and Eli McC.

Isaac and Beth have been invited to attend the national prize-giving ceremony in London in December, where they will receive their awards alongside other prize winners from across the UK.

The RS department congratulates all students who took part in the competition and particularly those whose work was recognised by the judges. Their success is a wonderful reflection of the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment shown by Banbridge Academy students.
