BA Pupil selected for WU19 World Cup Cricket Ireland Squad

BA Pupil Abbi Harrison breaks into the WU19 Irish Cricket Team at just 16 Years Old

Banbridge Academy are very proud to congratulate Abbi Harrison on being selected for the WU19 international squad to represent Cricket Ireland in the World Cup.  Abbi is the youngest at 16 years old of a 15-woman squad that will travel to South Africa for a minimum of three weeks on January 1st.  They will take on Indonesia, Pakistan, New Zealand and the West Indies in their group stages. We wish Abbi and her teammates the best of luck! When asked about the opportunity Abbi said she is “very excited and nervous.  I would like to say huge thank you to all my family and friends for the support and my personal equipment sponsor Millchamp and Hall for their continued support. It feels very surreal to be travelling across the world to play cricket and I’m hoping we can make it to the super twelve.” We wish Abbi and the rest of the Irish squad the best of luck.
