Members of the Banbridge  Rotary Club visited the school recently to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff and pupils of Banbridge Academy for their generosity in raising £500 for a shelterbox through their charity collections.   The shelterbox contains a 10-man tent, cooking utensils, a stove, sleeping bags. a water purification system and much more. The shelterboxes are distributed around the globe in events such as natural disasters, earthquakes, floods or humanitarian crisis.  Each box can sustain a family by providing shelter to those who have lost their home for up to two years.
