Banbridge Academy’s Cross Country runners had a successful start the season at the Co Down District Championships with 7 runners qualifying for the Ulster Championships. Unfortunately, the races clashed with the Academy’s exam week, so it was a much smaller entry than usual with just 12 runners able to make it fit with their exam timetable. The championships where once again held at Dellamont Country Park in Killyleagh, on a cold & frosty morning on 19^th January. While all the runners acquitted themselves well in difficult conditions the following seven placed in the top 15 in their race and qualify for the Ulster Championships on Wednesday 8^th February. Mini Girls :Molly Tumlity 5^th & Daisy Douglas 7^th, Minor Girls: Casey Cousins 5^th, Senior Girls: Holly Fisher 11^th, Senior Boys: Simon Ferris 7^th & Kian Moran 8^th and Junior Girls: Emma Stewart 8^th.
