Banbridge Academy had two Medallists in the Northern Ireland Schools’ Judo championships held at the weekend in Lisburn. Year 11 pupil, Ben Bradshaw, won double Gold in his age group and weight categories in what was a great performance from him as he defeated opponents with much more fighting experience in the process. Ben is a keen Rugby player, and has experience in MMA, but this was one of his first Judo competitions so it makes this achievement all the more impressive. Callum Duff, also year 11, won a Silver medal in his category and he too performed really strongly on the day to take home this medal.
