In a close-fought friendly match played at home on Saturday 19th September, BA came out on top with a 1-0 win over Down High. Throughout the game BA had lots of chances but were unfortunately unable to convert; similarly, Down High had their fair share of opportunities in front of the goal. However, strong defence by Megan Shannon, Ellen Wright and Beth Matson as well as solid goal-keeping from Louise Beckett prevented the opposition from scoring. The first half was 50-50 with both teams settling into the match. The 2nd half on the other-hand was dominated by BA who had most of the possession, finally concluding in a goal for Laura Stewart after a great run through and pass by Ellen Wright. The 2nd XI have maintained their winning streak.
