On Tuesday 18th November, Megan Ferguson (10C) won the Minor Girls’ section of the Champion of Champions Badminton Tournament at the National Badminton Centre, Lisburn. This is an annual tournament organised by the Ulster Schools’ Badminton Association and provides an opportunity for the top seeded players in each school to play each other and determine the ‘champion of champions’. Megan worked her way to the final after winning against players from a variety of schools such as Royal and Prior, Friends’ School Lisburn and Sullivan. In the final, she played Sarah Cherry of Wallace High School and became the Minor Girls’ 2015 Champion after winning the match in two straight games: 21-16, 21-17.
