BA Horticulture Group meet twice weekly in the autumn, spring and summer months.  We grow a wide variety of bedding plants, fruits and vegetables from seed in the school greenhouse.  We then use the plants to fill some of the containers tubs on the school grounds and sell on plants to staff members and so become a self-sustaining enterprise.  We have also planted a range of spring-flowering bulbs in areas around the school site and planted a wildflower meadow using native Irish wildflower seed.  In the near future we will be installing raised beds and a polytunnel to further extend our growing season and the range of plants we grow.
