Banbridge Academy Boys’ Hockey held their annual Awards Dinner in the Vault restaurant with over 100 people turning up to celebrate another great year of schoolboy hockey. Head of Hockey Mr Walker praised the players for their huge efforts throughout the season and Headmaster Mr McLoughlin thanked the staff and coaches for their dedication to each team. The first Banbridge Academy Boys’ Hockey captain to lift the All Ireland Schoolboys’ trophy, Lee Tumilty, spoke to those in attendance about how thrilled he was to see this year’s captain, Matthew McKee, lift the same trophy for only the sixth time in the school’s history. Lee Tumilty presented 16 awards with players from Year 8 to Year 14 being honoured.
