Banbridge Academy Students Hit the Slopes in Axamer Lizum

Pupils from Banbridge Academy enjoyed an unforgettable week in the Austrian Alps as they took part in the school’s annual ski trip to Axamer Lizum. The group, made up of students from across several year groups, spent seven days on the resort’s renowned pistes, developing their skiing skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Blessed with fresh snow and clear mountain skies, the Academy skiers tackled everything from beginner slopes to more challenging runs, with many students progressing rapidly throughout the week. Evenings were filled with a mix of activities, including sledging, team games, and a visit to the nearby city of Innsbruck.

Trip organisers praised the pupils for their enthusiasm and teamwork, noting that the group represented the school exceptionally well. Students returned home tired but full of stories—and already looking forward to next year’s adventure.
