Digital Leader Workshops

The Childnet Digital Leaders Programme is a youth leadership training programme empowering young people to educate their peers about online safety. Three Year 14 pupils – Daniel Mackle, Daniel McRoberts and Jack Patterson have taken the opportunity to serve as Digital Leaders in school this year.

Our three leaders have completed training on an interactive platform, working through online modules, equipping them with the skills they need to go on to educate and support their peers. This support has taken the form of a presentation to all year groups in assembly and more recently through interactive workshops delivered to pupils in Years 8,9 and 10.

These workshops centred around the theme of online influencers and “fake news” – very relevant topics facing our pupils today. The workshops were well received and appreciated by our pupils!
